This small practice with a team of 7 is specialised in high-end residential projects for private clients, in the UK and abroad. They are looking for a Senior Architect with a keen eye for design and excellent attention to detail who is ambitious and eager to develop professionally.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Run a project through all RIBA stages from concept to completion (Stages 0/1 to 7)
  • To implement and assemble surveys, primary appraisal schemes, concept layouts and concluding planning layouts
  • ideally around 5 - 8 years experience post Part III and a solid record of running residential projects on site, including contract administration.
  • Prepare and develop drawings and other documents related to design
  • Architectural modelling and/or overseeing of others working on development models as well as final presentation models
  • Liaise with the local Council (planning/building control)/independent inspectors/consultants throughout the life of the project as appropriate
  • To be up to date with the latest regulations regarding Planning and Building to plan packages and create submissions to ensure that all the drawings comply strictly with UK Building
  • Produce detailed tender and constructions packages, including construction detail drawings, services drawings, finishes/ironmongery schedules, room elevations and joinery elevations/details.
  • To work accurately to meet deadlines, collectively working in sync with the office team members and other external consultants, liaising with other professional consultants such as Building Control, M&E engineers, Structural Engineers, Interior Designers etc.
  • Supervise and coordinate a junior in-house team to develop and complete tender packages
  • Coordinating drawings/detail information provided by others (SE/M&E etc.)
  • Sourcing, detailing, and creating schedules
  • Liaising with contractor queries and coordination with sub-contractors during the building works. Conversations with suppliers/manufacturers/specialists etc.
  • Site meetings and support; resolve queries arising on site
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Sketch up
