This is a very exciting role for a very senior Healthcare Architect with ideally large-scale international experience. The role will be to work within the proposals team and provide architectural, design, healthcare planning and scheduling services to support the submittal of proposals for healthcare facilities worldwide. The role will focus primarily on stimulating Client interest and developing healthcare proposals for physical and mental health capital projects through presenting and researching concept and feasibility design options, value engineering alternative design solutions and master planning in both negotiated and competitively tendered proposals / RFPs. You will then be expected to coordinate with any subsequently appointed external designers to develop the design in accordance with the concept and feasibility studies.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Provision of architectural input to tender and negotiated proposals/bids for assigned healthcare projects at the initial concept/feasibility stage
- Manages the production of images, renderings, isometrics, drawings and narratives for proposals and bids
- Development of schedules of accommodation
- Healthcare planning and functionality reviews
- Design reviews of external Consultants
- Preparation of masterplans, phasing and transition plans, zoning, and site usage
- Maintains library of images, general arrangements, space planning, masterplans, and zoning etc
- Handover of initial stage documentation to external Designers
- Checking for compliance with concept design during design development process
- Preparation of floor plans, elevations and treatments, FF&E schedules, renderings and images to presentation standard
- Site visits and surveys as required
- Coordinates with other designers
- Research of local healthcare regulatory requirements
Key Skills:
- Degree in Architecture/ RIBA qualified
- Minimum 10 years Architectural experience
- Healthcare experience
- Design consultancy background
- Fluency in English – written and spoken
- A 2nd language, preferably French, Spanish or Arabic would be advantageous
- Design background – site-based delivery experience would be an advantage
- Familiarity with NHS codes (HBN/HTM) required
- Experience working on Design Build projects
- International Experience
