Our client is a small practice based around Old Street that work closely with their clients to deliver schemes that achieve sustainable, high-quality results and that best suit the project brief. This practice works primarily on Residential projects ranging from small-scale to masterplans, as well as some commercial projects. They are looking for a full time, mature minded, energetic and proactive Part 3 architect with a minimum of 2 years’ experience on RIBA Stages 4-6, and are looking to hire someone that will stay with them long term so are keen to see people that have worked for extensive periods of time with their previous employers. Strong English is required.
This is an office-based position so candidates should live within a sensible commute to Old Street and want to work closely with a friendly team.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Taking responsibility for specific areas of design and construction packages; preparing, developing and editing, drawings, models, images and other documents relating to the project documents using Autocad and Revit.
- Coordinating with and reviewing information from client, consultants, and contractors.
- Preparing fully compliant technical packages for tender and construction.
- Attending and running site meetings and office meetings with clients, contractors and other consultants affiliated with the project where appropriate, monitoring construction work in progress to ensure compliance with the design and contract.
- Preparing and making planning applications.
Candidates should:
- Have a broad knowledge of general planning policy and building regulations.
- Be able to demonstrate design and technical aptitude
- Be able to develop designs with technical confidence
- Be self-driven and motivated.
- Have a flexible and open attitude towards new ways of working and the ability to handle multiple roles and responsibilities within a dynamic office.
- Be proficient in 2D and 3D technical packages: (Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop and InDesign);
- Be well organised with good time management.
- Have a proficient level of spoken and written English (IELTS 7-8, TOEFL iBT 94-109, TOEIC 901+ or CAMBRIDGE CPE).
