This friendly architectural studio of 8 people near Dulwich is expanding quickly and now looking for an office manager to support the team. The role will likely be 1 day/week and involve finance administration, recruitment, client management, marketing, office logistics and practice development.

Typical duties include

  • bookkeeping, invoicing, expenses and payroll administration (supported by Director and our accountants where appropriate)
  • support to senior team on financial forecasts and planning
  • day-to-day office management and procurement including liaison with IT consultants
  • logistical and diary management for continuing professional development and training
  • implementation of marketing activities such as initial monitoring of enquiries, website updates, newsletters and social media (supported by Head of Culture and Operations and relevant marketing consultants)
  • co-ordination of social events
  • assistance with staff recruitment, induction, and probationary processes (supported by Head of Culture and Operations and Director)
  • development of key office management documents
  • co-ordination of office health and safety
  • assistance to the Director, Associate Director and Head of Culture and
  • Operations on key practice projects

Essential

  • Demonstrable ability to undertake the above responsibilities
  • Trustworthy, dependable and reliable
  • Strong individual time management and ability to meet deadlines efficiently
  • Impeccable organisational skills and demonstrable expertise in office management
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills and confidence in client facing scenarios
  • Excellent interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work well independently

Desirable

  • Previous experience working in similar roles in the UK architecture sector
  • Familiarity with Xero, NeoOffice, Content Management Systems, social media marketing software
