Our client is a global interior design firm based in London and America with a portfolio of award-winning projects. Their London studio is seeking a Design Director with a background in high-end residential developments, hospitality and commercial interiors to lead a dynamic team.
As well as being a superb designer, the role requires someone to be a particularly strong all-rounder with the ability to have an excellent commercial understanding of projects from contracts and HR to project delivery and client-facing.
Candidates will therefore need the following skills and experience:
- proven experience of successfully leading a design team and projects from inception to completion
- a portfolio of high-quality contemporary interiors demonstrating hospitality, residential development and commercial experience
- able to demonstrate exceptional design, coordination and management skills with high attention to detail
- ability to create and develop conceptual designs
- experience of FF&E selection, budgeting, scheduling and procurement
- efficient in time management, resourcing and managing the project teams
- experience in dealing with clients, contractors and other suppliers in a highly professional manner
