Our client is a large-scale international project management and construction business who have an office in Saudi Arabia working on a wide range of projects. They are now actively seeking a Contracts Manager. 

The Contracts Manager holds the responsibility for all related contractual issues, correspondences, evaluation, potential orders etc. and ongoing relationships with Consultants and General Contractors. The Contracts Manager is also responsible for financial budget supervision and ensuring the cost-effectiveness and value for money of contracts in conjunction with the Programming Manager. As part of the senior management team, the Contracts Manager holds the responsibility to liaise and coordinate with the Program Director and the rest of the senior management team/peers with all matters related to operational issues required for the success of the program in accordance with the Client expectations.

Candidates will need the following skills and experience:

  • hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in quantity surveying, engineering or cost engineering from an internationally recognized university
  • have over 18 years experience and a strong track record of contracts management, contractual documents preparation, contractual commitment analysis, and contractual dispute management

  • have extensive knowledge and experience in the Public sector in addition to knowledge of Saudi procurement law and ability to write RFPs and contract templates.

  • technical and administrative knowledge of engineering/construction industry contracting practices, government and commercial procurement regulations and practices, policies, procedures and work practices

  • demonstrated experience in pricing, contract law, contract drafting, administration and negotiation of change orders, effective correspondence, planning and scheduling

  • thorough knowledge of prime contracts management administration as well as (sub-) contract formation and administration, execution office and field procedures and documents relating to a multi-discipline construction project

  • knowledge and advanced understanding of FIDIC and all related requirements

  • knowledge and understanding of EPC contractual obligations and all related requirements

  • fluency in the English and Arabic language is mandatory

  • experience of working internationally (preference KSA experience)
